When her son Luca was diagnosed with 

autism she decided to do something to 

generate greater knowledge and awareness 

of the subject. In collaboration with Iluminemosde Azul A.C, she created awareness 

campaigns, bringing together soccer stars like Pep Guardiola, Xavi Hernández, Arjen Robbenand Chicharito Hernandez among others, 

achieving one of the major campaigns in 

favor of autism in the world. She is the author of the book "My Brother Luca." in which the Short film is inspired.

Carlos Algara

Co-Director

His first short film, "The Intruder", premiered at the Shanghai International Film Festival. 

In 2010 he cofounded the production 

company The Visualistas along with partner 

Alejandro Martínez. Their first collaboration 

was the short film "El Firulete." In 2016,

Carlos and Alejandro co-created the TV 

Series "Blue Demon" for Sony Pictures 

Television. Carlos co-directed his first feature film along with 

Alejandro, a psychological thriller entitled 

"Veronica." This film was selected by IMCINE to represent Mexico at the European Film 

Market in LaBerlinale, and it granted them the award for Best New Director at the Huelva 

International Film Festival. Currently, Carlos is working on developing his second feature 

and co-directing the animated short film "My Brother Luca."
